Abstract Deadline: 5 January 2022
The Eastern Bird Banding Association (EBBA) is soliciting abstracts for oral presentations at our Annual Meeting on Saturday, March 12, 2022 in Groton, CT. The meeting is expected to draw 80+ bird banders, educators, researches and other attendees from the eastern seaboard including Canada. We will be selecting approximately 8 oral presentations on a variety of research projects that speak to one of four areas. Using bird banding, tracking, or tagging in conjunction to make decisions or predict outcomes with respect to:
– Education and Outreach
– Scientific research
– Technology/Climate Change
Presentations may reflect original research, summarize existing information, address the use of banding as a tool in avian research and monitoring, or explore conclusions reached. Time slots will be approximately 15 minutes in length, but longer presentations may be accommodated at the discretion of the Program Committee. Each presenter will be asked to end their presentation by summarizing how their project, or data, is or will be used to inform or assist with bird conservation.
Email a brief summary of your presentation to Maren Gimpel no later than January 5, 2022 to email@example.com. Include your name, contact information, and status (student, bird bander, educator, etc.) along with any qualifications.
If selected, Saturday speakers will be invited to attend the full day of sessions, including lunch and breakfast at no charge. There is an additional fee to attend the evening dinner and keynote speaker presentation.
